It has been gathered that one of the biggest timber markets in the Eastern part of Nigeria has been gutted and razed down by fire. The timba market which is located in Nnewi, Anambra state was razed by fire which reportedly started in the early hours of today.
Government firefighters reportedly did not arrive on time and according to a Facebook user who shared the photos, it took the intervention of FC Ifeanyi Ubah stadium water tankers and fire rescue team to curtail the incident. More photos from the scene after the cut.
