Lagos State Gov't Demolishes Oshodi Market - Destroying People's Wares WITHOUT Compensation

In this devastating phase of economy in Nigeria, the Lagos state government demolished and destroyed people's wares (goods) all in the name of giving the state so called 'Face-lift' and all these is being done without compensation.

My question is where is this country heading to? who will speak for common masses? where are the so called 'Human-Rights' or their representatives? The high and mighty in the society always have their ways but the poor masses are always the downtrodden - WHY?

This people whose shops and wares are being destroyed all in the name of removing illegal structures has been paying rents to some people, revenues to the local government and their agents.

These are people struggling to make an honest living... I am not saying that giving the state a sweet view is wrong, NO! but all I am asking is that the state government COMPENSATE these people and show them where to stay as that will also help cub crimes. I believe the revenue that is being collected from them should serve as insurance (immunity). Please let appropriate body look into this. Thanks.
